I started to practice mindful meditation in college when I was 20 and it changed a lot of things for me. It was something that I truly enjoyed doing, I saw the benefits of this practice right away. This was especially true because I had very good teacher and guide.

Meditations came back more intensely in my life a year ago. I tried a variety of different ways to meditate and I found two extremely effective ways: Silent and Guided Meditation.

All you have to do is close your eyes and focus on your breath. There is little more to it, I cover it in the MFT 21 Day Program. It is a practice many can figure out for themselves by simply sitting down, in a peaceful and quiet location and enjoy the present moment. Your only task is to focus on your breath.

You can acknowledge your thoughts, label them, let them go and move on, bring your mind back to the present moment. This is Free, there is no need to pay anyone to meditate. All you need is 5-10 minutes, ideally 30 min, your body, and a peaceful location to do it.
Guided Mediation is

using music and voice guidance
Some people truly need or just prefer to have guidance. There are numerous guided meditations available for free as well as paid versions that you can get. Those work too. Affirmations have also been known to help many people. They can help people see and experience things differently and feel this world in a new way.

Personally I believe that the best guided meditation is recorded with your own voice, addressing the needs and desires that You have, written to music that is made specifically for You.
